This Autumn, 7th graders had a fantastic Autumn Learning Day, taking their lessons outdoors! In Science, students explored the colored pigments found in leaves and the reason for the colors we see today, connecting nature to their studies. In ELA, they engaged in discussions about growth mindset through the lens of autumn, writing about the "leaves" they are ready to let go of as they navigate the changing seasons of life. In Math, students plotted coordinates based on a personality test to create their unique personality leaf, combining creativity with critical thinking. Lastly, in Social Studies, students put their mapping skills to the test while exploring the Spooner City Park Trail System and finished off their hike with a scavenger hunt.
