Our Kindergartners were celebrated this afternoon with their Superhero Super Reader pizza party.
Many read over 100 books, while some read over 150 books to get this opportunity to eat a pizza lunch with Mr. Danford out on the patio of school.
Superhero reader T-shirts were given as well after our amazing lunch.

Our Kindergarten Superhero Reader special lunch with the principal is only minutes away from happening!
This should be amazing!

Did you know we operate a tutoring center?
We operate a tutoring center called Morningside for most of the year out of St. Luke’s church on Division. Not too far from school.
The tutoring center takes care of some awesome kiddos. The Lion’s Club supports and offers volunteers. Whitworth volunteers and community volunteers help as well.
Last week we celebrated the 2025-2026 season with an end-of-year barbecue. It was amazing, with games, hot dogs, face painting, s’mores, and friendships.
So cool!

How cute was our Kindergarten program last week?! Holy cow!

Last week we had a fire safety presentation at school.
The fire department was to school as was two representatives from the Red Cross.
The program was perfectly suited for our first and second graders.

This is what the 5th grade four-square craze looks like.
All squares full. Too few four-square balls to go around. We need to get some more pumped up.
Such a fun, healthy game!

Just a few pics of the fun had at the DLC Field Day Friday.

Friday's DLC Field Day was, as you can imagine, spectacular and high energy.
These photos here give a taster of the Opening Ceremonies: the march to the field, the assembly to hear the Mead High School Band, the welcome announcements, and the sheriff helicopter flyover. Super exciting!
One of the graduating seniors, and an event speaker, was actually a former Evergreen Mustang. How cool is that?

Our Recess with Mom‘s (and special people) event was a huge hit!
The weather was awesome, a little chilly at 8:00, but warming up quite nicely. The sun popped through the clouds and gave us a visit.
Thanks PTO for all you do! These events really bring the community together.
