They did it again! Our amazing 2nd graders collected an incredible 2,850 boxes of cereal for this year’s Cereal Domino Service Project!

A huge thank you to our 2nd grade teachers—Julie Stannard (project lead), Kelly Krause, and Elizabeth House—and our generous SIA and Spokane communities for making this impactful project possible.

All donated cereal will support local organizations in need, such as food banks, and local pantries. Way to go, 2nd grade—your kindness is making a BIG difference!

OH WHAT A NIGHT!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make International Night such an incredible celebration of our community. The event was filled with joy, learning, connection, great food, amazing performances, and countless opportunities to celebrate the cultures that make our school so special. A special shout-out goes to the planning committee, many of whom took on this work without ever having experienced an International Night themselves. Your creativity, commitment, and willingness to jump in made the evening a tremendous success.

Eleven remarkable seniors officially became SIA graduates on June 7th. The ceremony was beautiful and a fitting celebration of their hard work, growth, and accomplishments. Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

Ready for a world adventure? Join us at SIA’s International Night for cultural performances, student showcases, delicious treats, and exhibits from around the globe. Grab a passport, collect stamps, and see what our students have been learning!

We are thrilled for the return of International Night on Friday, June 5th, at 4:30 pm. This is one of the most meaningful celebrations of culture, learning, and community at Spokane International Academy, and we look forward to coming together to celebrate the diverse world we serve. We will have food trucks, performances, and student displays. Don’t miss out on an incredible opportunity to see what your students have learned.

In our second track season, we have had an adventurous season! Isla Hansen (11th grade) will represent SIA at the State Championships in the 800m, and William Spencer (11th grade) in Shotput in Yakima, WA this weekend. We are excited to celebrate them and our dedicated coach, Mr. Tomeo. We wish them all the best!
