About This Event
Ellen Schur, MD, is professor of medicine at the University of Washington's Division of General Internal Medicine at Harborview Medical Center. A pioneer in obesity medicine and founder of the medical weight management program, she will explore how brain inflammation affects appetite and provide essential context on the revolutionary new class of weight-loss medications. Schur conducts research on brain regulation of appetite and also teaches and mentors medical students, physician fellows and graduate students in clinical research on obesity.

Last week, Human Physiology Department represented Gonzaga at Jefferson Elementary’s STEM Fair. Our faculty and students loved sharing hands-on activities about the bones and muscles, even showing them a real human brain from our labs!🧠🩻
