Whitworth Forensics

Whitworth Forensics The Whitworth Forensics Team offers students new communication skills and equips them for life. Plus we travel often and have fun across the country!

The team competes in public speaking, oral interp of literature, limited preparation events and IPDA debate in a one on one format. The team develops skills in critical thinking, the ability to understand the viewpoints of others, enhance public speaking skills and delve deeply into current events. We travel four times a semester to compete across the Pacific Northwest and to national tournaments. We are defending three time National Christian College champions.

We know many of our alumni, supporters, and friends are wondering who will be coaching the team this year with Coach Mike Ingram retiring…and here’s our answer!

Rylee Walter ‘19, who served as Assistant Director of Forensics from 2021-2026, will move into the role of DOF, and Tucker Wilson ‘20 will return to the Arguing Bucs, this time as Assistant DOF. Tucker has great competitive and coaching experience that will make him an asset to our program. Both Rylee and Tucker are so excited about the season ahead and grateful for the support they’ve been shown so far. They can’t wait to get started!

Update on recently-retired Coach Mike Ingram + family as they rebuild from the fire! And a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported them so far ❤️🖤

Quick note: the Ingrams still have access to all photos submitted prior to Coach’s retirement party this spring. However, we know the forensics community has lots of photos from over the years, so please upload any others you find to the link on the website!
