Las Ferias de Alcalà de Henares began today!
August is the month of ferias “festivals” in Spain.
Las Ferias are celebrated all over the country and they’re a very important and fun tradition for the Spaniards. Come to class and learn about the awesome traditions and customs of Spain!

This is Don Quijote, from the famous novel “Don Quijote” by Miguel de Cervantes. Cervantes was from Alcalá de Henares, Spain. The city’s main plaza (also an important aspect of most towns and cities in Spain) is named, “Plaza Cervantes” after the famous author.
