Recently, our 5th grade students rolled up their sleeves and became "environmental engineers"! Using recycled bottles, sand, gravel, and activated charcoal, they designed and built their very own water filtration systems in science class. This hands-on project wasn't just fun--it helped students explore how filtration works, why clean water is so important, and how science can solve real-world problems.
We're so proud of their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. We might have some future environmental scientists in the making.

Our first graders in Mrs. Davis's class have been busy scientists, caring for tiny caterpillars and watching them grow each day. They observed the amazing transformation from crawling caterpillars to cozy chrysalises, and now, butterflies. This experience sparked curiosity, patience, and wonder in the classroom. The children learned about life cycles, nature's beauty, and the importance of caring for living things. They released the butterflies on Thursday.
