A friendly reminder for our upper grade parents that tonight is our Back to School Night for grades 5-8. Teachers will discuss the upcoming school year and answer any questions. There will also be an informational meeting about Camp Wooten for parents with students in grades 6-8. Times and locations are as follows:

Grades 7 & 8: 6:00-6:20, PACC
Grades 5 & 6: 6:25-6:45, Library
Camp Wooten Informational Meeting: 6:50-7:15, Library

St. Thomas More School is lucky to have a lunch program that makes hot lunch available for purchase to our students Monday through Thursday each week. The monthly menu can be found on our website and in the weekly NewsNote. Today it was pasta with meat sauce, broccoli, and peaches. Lots of happy faces and full bellies! 🍝

Serving hot lunch is also a wonderful volunteer opportunity, so be sure to check out that sign-up (which can be found in the NewsNote) if that’s something you’re interested in helping with. Thank you to all of our volunteers who help make this offering possible to our school families!

Our STM storefront is open for one more week! With Labor Day on Monday, we have extended the order deadline to the end of the day on Tuesday, September 8. Be sure to get your orders in for uniform-approved jackets, sweatshirts, vests, and more. The store won’t open again until the spring, so order your winter wear while you have the chance!

It’s the first full week of school and the Rebel spirit is alive and well on the STM campus. It is a joy to have your children’s laughter and excitement filling our school hallways!

With the school year underway, we are delighted to share our school-wide theme: Fruit of the Spirit. 🍓 🍊 🍏 🍉

Throughout the year, our students will focus on the virtues found in Galatians 5:22–23—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These gifts will be woven into our prayer, classroom learning, service, and daily interactions as we continue to grow in faith and become more like Christ.

We look forward to partnering with our families as we encourage our students to bear good fruit in all they do. May God bless our school community with a joyful and grace-filled year!

With the beginning of a new school year comes the promise of a weekly NewsNote from St. Thomas More School. The NewsNote serves as our primary source of communication to families. Every Monday (or on the first day of school each week) at 7:00pm you will find a message with notifications, lunch menu, volunteer schedule, and other important information. The first NewsNote of the year went out last night so if you haven’t already, be sure to check your inbox. What a joy it was to see so many new and returning families last night at our Back-to-School Ice Cream Social and New Family Orientation! We are thrilled to welcome more than 60 new students this school year. Our teachers and staff are excited for the First Day of School tomorrow and we hope your students are as well!

Happy Friday, Rebels! It’s hard to believe we’re at the last weekend of summer break. Our teachers and staff have been hard at work with back-to-school preparations and are excited to welcome everyone back to campus next week.

A reminder that Monday, August 24 is our Ice Cream Social at 5:00pm. This is a great opportunity to bring in your school supplies, meet your teacher, and connect with school families. At 6pm there will be a New Family Orientation in the PACC.

On Wednesday, August 26 is our first day of school! Doors open at 8:25am. Families are invited to join our students for all school Mass at 9:00am. Early dismissal will be at 11:30am. Extended care will be available on Wednesday. Students staying for extended care must bring a lunch. Please call the school office with any questions.

Rebel Families, all students will receive a Spirit Shirt as part of our annual Fund Run on October 2nd. If you haven’t already done so, please submit your student’s shirt size by end of day tomorrow (Friday, August 21). Click the link below for the submission link. Providing us with your student’s shirt size helps us to keep costs down. If we don’t receive your student’s shirt size, we will do our best to guess their size.

Also, while we recognize our community is navigating the impact of the recent wildfires, the Fund Run remains one our school’s main fundraisers and is critical to the financial stability of our school. We are looking for businesses who would consider sponsoring our 2026 Fund Run. If you or someone you know own a business that would like to support our school and have their logo on the back of our Spirit Shirts, please reach out to the school office.
