Today our 3rd grade class headed downtown for a walking tour of Riverfront Park. In this final quarter of the school year, the 3rd graders have been working diligently on their Spokane unit, each student assigned to a person, place, and event that is part of our city’s history.
For the walking tour, 3rd grade teacher Ms. Spilker put together a photo scavenger hunt for her students, encouraging them to take photos with prominent landmarks in the park like the Bloomsday Runners, the Washington Water Power building, the suspension bridge leading to Canada Island, the Clock Tower, and the Radio Flyer Wagon. The field trip ended with a ride of the famous Looff Carousel. Thank you Ms. Spilker for all your effort in putting this fun, educational day together for your students and our 7th graders helpers who participated today!

Our 8th graders are making unforgettable memories on their East Coast history trip! 🇺🇸✨
From walking among the monuments in Washington, D.C., to exploring the rich history of Mount Vernon and Monticello, our students are bringing classroom lessons to life. In the past days, they have visited the U.S. Marine Corps Museum, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, Arlington National Cemetery, the Holocaust Memorial Museum, the National Museum of Natural History, the National Museum of American History, and the National Archives.
This incredible journey has given our students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of our nation’s history, honor those who came before us, and grow together in faith, friendship, and learning.
In these last days before they return home, please keep our students, teachers, and chaperones in your prayers as they continue their travels and adventures together.

Yesterday Mr. McCollum led our last Rebel Rally of the school year, bringing our school’s theme of “Be Blessed. Be Bold. Be a Rebel” to a close. We reviewed what the Beatitudes are, specifically our April, May, and June Beatitudes, and what it means to live like Rebels for God.
We also recognized our Rebel Stars, which are students who exemplified behavior and/or actions that are aligned with our Student Learning Expectations. Congratulations to these students for going above and beyond and leading the Rebel way!

Yesterday, high school seniors who are STM alumni joined our 8th grade class for Mass followed by a breakfast hosted by parent volunteers. This special STM tradition allows seniors and 8th graders a chance to celebrate their upcoming graduations as they prepare for the next step to high school, college, and beyond. May God bless these graduates on their journey ahead!

Egg Drop Day 2026 was an egg-stra special success! Our 8th grade students designed and crafted contraptions intended to protect an egg from breaking after a 12’ drop. While some were luckier than others, it was an egg-celent morning on the STM campus watching their creations hatch and come to life! 🥚 🍳 🎈 🪂

Yesterday, teams hit the green with clubs in hand and their eyes on the prize, chasing birdies and sinking putts. A huge thank you to everyone who helped drive this event forward, especially the Mark family for organizing and hosting lunch and pool party.

Yesterday was a great day on campus thanks to acting Principal Logan! All students had free dress and enjoyed donuts at last recess. Logan and two friends enjoyed lunch at Chick-fil-A with Principal McCollum and Vice Principal McCann. Grades 6-8 also get a homework pass and Logan taught a PE class.
Principal for a Day is always a highly coveted live auction package at our annual auction. Be the highest bidder and this could be your student next year!
