Here’s a look back at this year’s Summer Language Program! ☀️📚

Earlier this summer, multilingual youth from Spokane Public Schools strengthened their English language skills while building friendships, confidence, and curiosity through engaging, hands-on learning activities.

At the same time, Gonzaga MA TESOL and TESOL Certificate students gained valuable classroom experience, putting their learning into practice while serving our local community.

This summer, Dr. McKinney and Dr. Person have been keeping things engaging for our Canadian Counselling students!

In Dr. McKinney's class, students brought the qualitative narrative analysis concept of restorying to life by tackling a hands-on challenge: putting a children's story back into the correct sequence.
Sometimes the best way to understand research is to experience it firsthand, and a little creativity (and fun!) can make learning even more memorable.
