Breastfeeding is hard, ya'll! These are my favorite tips for lactating mamas. They're cheap, easy, and WORK...most of the time. π amirite?
1. Latch those babies often. Feeding times may seem like a natural occurrence, but it isn't! Babies just don't live on a schedule π
2. Express milk after feedings - babies get bored, cozy, sleepy - you name it. Expressing afterwards gives your breasts the signal to make more milk than baby naturally managed to get. This is especially helpful if you're having trouble producing enough milk.
3. Skin baby! Never underestimate the raw power of skin touching. Looking at and touching that precious baby automatically cues your body into the biological process of milk production.
4. Warm compresses help soothe glands in the breast, removing blockages, and relaxing you, too! (Insert shameless plug for MilkMomology's Lavender and flaxseed filled Breast Compresses. I made 'em for a reason - they help! π)
5. Fenugreek was INVALUABLE in my breastfeeding journey - it naturally contributes to milk production. Bonus, my body smelled like maple syrup every time I took it π
