As multiple wildfires continue to impact the Spokane region, where Moody Aviation is located, Dr. Tim Sisk, Provost and Interim President of Moody Bible Institute, shared the following update:

"Many of you are aware of the devastating wildfires affecting the Spokane area, where more than 1,000 homes have been destroyed and many families have been displaced. We are grateful to report that Moody Aviation, Felts Field, and our new Woodbee Apartments remain safe, and fall classes began as scheduled. We continue to monitor the situation closely and are supporting our faculty, staff, and students as needed. We thank the Lord for His faithful protection over our Moody Aviation family. As stronger winds are forecast this weekend, we ask you to join us in praying for God's continued hand of protection over our students, faculty, staff, and the entire Spokane community. Please pray that the fires would be contained, that those serving on the front lines would be granted wisdom, strength, and safety, and that the many families who have lost homes would experience God's comfort, provision, and peace. Above all, may the body of Christ be a tangible expression of His love during this difficult season, and may the name of Jesus be honored and glorified through our prayers and our care for one another."

Today we celebrated the official ribbon cutting and dedication of Moody Aviation’s Woodbee Apartments!

The apartments are named “Woodbee” in honor of the small yellow airplane flown by the late missionary pilot, Nate Saint. He, along with Jim Elliot, Pete Fleming, Ed McCully and Roger Youderian were martyred in 1956 while attempting to reach the Huaorani tribe in Ecuador with aid and the gospel.

We are so thankful for the blessing this building will be for future missionary pilots and aviation maintenance professionals.

Congratulations to this year's Moody Aviation graduates!! 👏 🎓 We are thrilled to celebrate God's faithfulness to Moody Aviation with our 80th graduating class. Each of this year's 17 graduates has their own story of God's faithfulness in their lives and are now commissioned to be sent out to serve! ✈️ 🌍

These grads have been diligently trained and equipped to serve as missionary pilots, mechanics, and maintenance specialists. They have grown in skill and character, and as our faculty and staff send them on to their next chapter of serving the Lord, we pray God uses them in powerful ways to share the gospel and meet tangible needs across the globe.
