Over the past week, our Spokane community has faced heartbreak and uncertainty as wildfires have impacted so many in our area. We are keeping all those affected, the first responders, and everyone working to support our community in our thoughts and prayers. ❤️

As we begin to look ahead, we hope the remaining days of summer bring moments of peace, sunshine, laughter, and time with the people you love. ☀️

And in a few short weeks, we can’t wait to welcome our Cataldo community back to campus for another wonderful school year! 📚💙 In anticipation of the start of the new school year, here are a few important dates to mark on your calendar…

Our final week of Summer is for Service ended on the best note. ❤️ From building meaningful connections and sharing smiles at ARC of Spokane, to one last round of slip-and-slide kickball, to serving families at PREPARES by sorting donations and lending helping hands, our students finished the summer by living out kindness, teamwork, and service. We’re so proud of the impact they made throughout these past four weeks. 💙

Week 2 of Summer is for Service is in the books! ☀️💙 From organizing donations at Rising Strong, to racing around the BMX track, to getting muddy while serving at Food for All Greenhouse, our students worked hard, had fun, and made a real impact in our community. We’re so proud of their servant hearts! 🙌

Summer is for Service is off to a great start! 💙 From helping at Cataldo and St. Augustine Parish, to conquering the American Ninja Fortress, to sorting over 3,300 pounds of plums at Second Harvest, and serving families at Gonzaga Family Haven, our students showed what it means to give back. We’re so proud of their hard work, positive attitudes, and commitment to serving our community!

Summer Camp kicks off today and we couldn’t be more excited! Here are a few reminders for our first session!

Our altar servers wrapped up an incredible year with a sweet sundae celebration with Fr. Nicks! 🍨 Thank you for your faithful service throughout the year—we are so grateful for each of you.

Adventure was calling! 🌿☀️ Our 4th graders enjoyed a day at the park last week and an unexpected rescue mission. When they spotted a turtle in need of a little help, they stepped up to safely guide it back to a better spot.

🦉 Science in action! Our 3rd graders became wildlife detectives as they dissected owl pellets and uncovered the remains of an owl’s last meal. A fun, hands-on lesson that brought nature and science together! 🔍
