Just a little appreciation post for my friends and fellow instructors of Lilac City Doula Training. There’s few people in the world who you can come together with once a year and it feels like you were never apart, and then proceed to teach students how to be excellent doulas over just a few days. 💪🏼

We are reunited TOMORROW and I just can’t wait 😭🫶🏼

This is such a long time coming — AND I’m beyond excited to announce that I can now serve families through WA Apple Health. This means more birthing people get advocacy, education, and the steady support they deserve.

EVERY family deserves to be informed, heard and empowered, not just those who can pay out of pocket. I’m so proud to be part of making that support more accessible.

Okay anyone else have to go into the depths of their photos to find a decent picture?! Shouts out to the salt flats in Utah and this 2024 girls trip for a photo of me without my kids 😂

2025 was a sweet year of being off call. I finished out my pregnancy, had my sweet daughter, and we settled into being a family of 4. I can’t say enough good things about taking breaks when you need them as a birth worker. Boundaries are HEALTHY 💪🏼

I’ve already attended 2 births in the last couple months and I’m looking forward to all my spring clients’ births and all the fall 2026 births as well. Love this work and thankful for all the families who trust me with their care!

And our 5th (!!) Lilac City Doula Training is just a couple months away and we only have a few spots left. Becoming a doula trainer has been one of the most unexpected aspects of this work, but also one of my absolute favorite things I get to do! You can DM me if you want more info. :)

Soaked up a lot of cuddles and special time with my family these past few months - but we are BACK AT IT BABY 💪🏼

Our sweet Quincy Sage McDonald completed our family on May 2 at 5:05pm - weighing 8lbs, measuring 20in.

We are settling in, totally in love and leaning into the sweet and challenging moments as a new family of 4. So so so thankful!

Still waiting on our next little nugget to arrive, and since I still have so much time to kill (🤪) I have officially opened my books for 2026 due dates! I can’t believe it’s already that time.

I will be taking on one client a month to start back to birth work so reach out as soon as you know you’re pregnant if you want me to be your doula. My books fill fast!

If you didn’t see on my website, I’m taking 2025 off call and here’s why! Baby McDonald number 2 is joining the fam in April 2025! Wesley is so excited for his little SISTER to arrive. 🌸

I’m so thankful for a career that I can take at my own pace! And thankful for all the families in 2024 that trusted me to be their doula as I navigated my work as a new mom. Looking forward to those 2026 babies when I come back to being on call!

In the meantime, I’m hosting the fourth annual Lilac City Doula Training with and just next month and I can’t wait. 💪🏼 I’m still offering my birth preparation packages, and if you’re a returning client who will have a fall/winter 2025 due date, still reach and we’ll see what we can do 😘
