Stress is not just in your head; it shows up in your body, your energy, and your daily habits more than most people realize.

The good news is, your body is always capable of change.

Small, consistent choices in how you fuel, move, and recover can help shift your system out of survival mode and back into balance over time.

Save this for when you need a reminder that nothing is wrong with you; your body is responding the way it was designed to.

Me: Adds a Santa hat to make this a Christmas reel.

You’ve always had the ability to hinge at the hips.

That movement pattern lives in your body already, it just needs a familiar cue 😉

Tap back into that muscle memory and let Juvenile, Ludacris, and Beyoncé jog your memory.

Happy Lifting!

The holidays are not a pause button.

They are real life.

We can enjoy the food, the drinks, and the moments that matter, while still taking care of ourselves. No extremes. No guilt. Just steady habits that support us through the season.

If this helped, save it for later and share it with a friend who needs the reminder.

And if you want support that actually fits real life, send us a DM.

A friendly reminder:

December is not a waiting room, and it is not a time to stop the habits that have carried you this far.

This month still counts, and your progress still matters.

You do not need a new year to start over—your momentum is already here, ready to carry you forward.

Showing up in December does not mean doing more.

It means staying connected to the routines that support you, even when life feels full.

A few workouts, simple meals, and movement that fits your schedule are enough.

This month is about reflection, noticing how much you have grown, what you have built, and what you are capable of sustaining.

Look back at the year. Notice the strength you gained, the habits you kept, and the moments you showed up even when it wasn’t easy.

Then finish the year strong with intention, not pressure.

One last steady push, one more month of showing up.

Not perfect, just consistent.

You are allowed to end the year proud.

As we head into the thick of the holiday season, with treats and big moments around every corner, here’s your reminder that you get to enjoy all of it.

The food, the company, the traditions, the parties.

None of it needs to be earned.

You never have to punish yourself to make up for joy.

Your body deserves care, not guilt.

Take the moments that fill you up and let the rest go.

Struggling to stay on track with fitness during the holidays? You’re not alone. You can enjoy every potluck and still move toward your goals. It just takes a little planning and a steady mindset.

Here are a few easy ways to keep your routine steady while enjoying the season.

Pro tips from Laura and Jessica:
(Coach Laura) “I grab an apple and a beef stick before events. It boosts my protein and fiber intake and helps me walk in without feeling starved. I still enjoy the food, just without that urge to overdo it.”

(Coach Jessica) “I focus on the foods that feel special. If it’s a dish that someone put real time or skill into, I slow down and enjoy it. I skip or leave the everyday stuff like plain rolls or mashed potatoes. If I catch myself wanting more of a basic food, I remind myself that I can have that any day. This also helps at home with candy. Snickers and Reese’s will always be there if I want one later.”

Are you avoiding strength training because you fear pain or injury?

We've got some news for you. Without training, you are actually avoiding the very thing that builds resiliency.

Do we sometimes hate the burn during a hard set? Or the discomfort or pushing through a plateau? Or even the soreness that follows a tough workout? Sometimes, yes. But we've also learned to love it!

Lifting doesn’t just make you stronger in the gym - it makes your life stronger. The confidence you build under a barbell carries into how you show up at work, at home, and in every challenge that comes your way.

Strength training helps you move through the everyday aches and pains of life with more ease, more resilience, and far less fear. And the physical strength you build today becomes mental fortitude tomorrow.

We’re not here to be fragile in our 70s, hoping we don’t break a hip and relying on others to get by. We’re lifting now to build strong bones, strong bodies, and the independence to live a long, healthy, fulfilling life.

We're lifting for strength and confidence now, but also as insurance for later.
