This spring, our 5th graders once again completed their annual Wax Museum project. Students selected a historically significant person who made a positive impact on the world, conducted research, wrote an essay, created a display poster, and prepared a speech. During the Wax Museum event, they brought their chosen figures to life by portraying them and sharing their accomplishments and contributions with families and visitors. The hard work, creativity, and dedication of our students were evident throughout the project, and their performances were truly outstanding!

Jefferson's fifth grader's field trip Wednesday was only a few steps away, but a huge leap in academic growth for our outgoing scholars. Sacajawea Middle School welcomed them with a drum line, some pep talks and small-group tours led by former Jefferson Patriots. Students got to practice opening lockers and get a feel for just how quickly they'll have to get to class in four-minute passing periods. They also learned about their summer reading homework. Keep an eye out for that hand-out, parents!
