Join Friends of the Garden to celebrate and learn all about pollinators at this free event. The all-ages festival features a caterpillar petting zoo, tours of the Roston Native Butterfly House, hands-on nature-themed craft stations and food and garden vendors. 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

Safety education can be beneficial to families, and it can also be fun. Those things come together Saturday, May 30th, 2026 at CoxHealth's annual Kids Health and Safety Fair. The event will offer various vendor booths educating on topics such as bikes, guns, water, home, babies, farms, and inflatable games. This free event is a one-stop opportunity to learn about safety topics in ways that are both engaging and educational.

Incoming Kindergarten families — you’re invited to Night in K!

Join us on May 5th from 5:00–6:00 PM at Highlandville Elementary for a fun and informative evening as we welcome our newest Owls!

• Meet our Kindergarten teachers
• Tour the elementary building
• Students will enjoy a short movie in the Kindergarten classrooms
• Parents will join Principal Burke in the FEMA for a quick Q&A and important information

This is a great chance to help your child feel comfortable, see the classrooms, and get your questions answered before the school year begins. We can’t wait to meet our incoming Kindergarteners and their families!

👮🚒 Saturday, May 2: Heroes at the Farm

Where: Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park

What: Get up close and personal with fire, police and emergency vehicles, plus meet first responders at this free event. You can also visit farm animals, play yard games, try your luck in the fishing pond and more. Free; 10 a.m.–2 p.m.; sensory-friendly hour 10–11 a.m. (no lights or sirens).
