Changing your mind during labor IS allowed.
You can follow your preferences — and you can also shift them!
Birth plans (or preference plans 😉) are not promises or failures. They are tools. As long as you and your baby are safe and healthy, it’s okay to adjust, pivot, and choose what feels right in the moment.
After safety comes autonomy. 💪🏼
And after that, go for it. 😘❤️

Birth isn’t something we control... but it is something we can prepare for!
Bodies, babies, and births can be unpredictable. And that is SO okay... and also so rad!
But this is why we all need to start calling the plans "birth PREFERENCE plans".
It’s about understanding your options, communicating your values, and staying flexible — so that no matter how your birth unfolds, you feel informed, supported, and empowered!
And yes… this is probably the first time I have ever posted a video of myself actually talking. 😅 Since I host classes online, I figured it was time to share my voice here too!

At 8 weeks of gestation, your baby is about the same size of a raspberry! ❤️🤩
Comparing your baby’s size to something tangible (like a raspberry 😚) makes it easier to visualize and can be a sweet, grounding way to feel more connected... Even when they are just an itty-bitty berry, that bond is already growing. How special is that?! ✨

This teeny tiny heartbeat knew what it was doing! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 This clip from an ultrasound is showing a baby's heart beating away AT JUST 6 WEEKS AND 6 DAYS gestation! 💓 How amazing is that?!!! (I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love modern day medicine and technology! 🤓)
