🎸 Big applause for Salk students at last night's Guitar Celebration! These students wrapped up 2nd semester with an awesome performance, showing off the skills and songs they’ve worked hard to learn. From learning their first chords to performing together as a group, they’ve made incredible progress this semester. Great job, Mrs. Cominiello & Salk Spartans! 🎶👏

🏃‍♂️ Salk showed up strong after school for their hosted track-meet at Shadle on Thursday before the 4-day break! Our athletes competed with determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the meet. With record number students participating this year, students took on high jump, long jump, shot put, javelin, hurdles, 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, 1600 m and relays like champs! Spartans represented Salk with pride and positivity. Great job to all of our athletes! 💚

How do teachers keep it together while trying to finish testing and prepare for a long weekend? It was time to lowkey show some spirit with fits like twin day, mourning Monday, dress like a student and Thursday finale of Beach Day! Don't forget the anything but a cup staff meeting! Keeping the fun alive for both staff and students, have a safe and fun weekend!

Grandparents' Day as a well-attended and long-standing tradition at Salk, this year was no different! Students invited a grandparent or older friend to join them for today's event and enjoyed cookies and some upbeat music from both Pop Strings and Jazz Band. Students & Grandparents answered questions as they took the time to slow down and reflect. A guest appearance from Jonas, Salk's own Spartan allowed group photos and a shout out to our sponsor, Fairwinds, a Senior Living community for joining us today!

Our Multilingual Learners enjoyed playing kickball! 😀 It was a new game for some students.

Salk Adventurer's took to the mountain this last Saturday for their final hike of the season! A 4.5 mile hike up and back on Quartz Mountain near Mount Spokane, and it turned into quite an adventure! Battled the cold and some snow on the way down but it was still an epic day as they finished off with a sweet treat at DQ. Thank you for an amazing season and hope to see you all return next year to do it all again!
