We had an excellent evening celebrating our National Junior Honor Society students. Congratulations to all of our students who have worked so hard inside and outside of the classroom. Your leadership at Yasuhara does not go unnoticed and we know you are all bound for greatness! Thank you Mrs. Munns for guiding our students and being their NJHS advisor.

Tomorrow our Yasuhara Leadership class is holding a food donation car wash to help support 2nd Harvest. Bring your non-perishable food items and leave with a clean car!

Our Drama Club will be performing on Thursday, May 28th at 6:00 PM. Tickets are now on sale—$3.00 each in advance or $5.00 each at the door. Children 12 and under are free.

Please join us for Yasuhara's 8th Grade Promotion on Thursday, June 11th at 5:30 pm in the Yasuhara gymnasium.

Last week, Mrs. Pascal’s 8th grade AVID class had the opportunity to visit Central Washington University for an overnight trip. Together, we toured the beautiful campus, participated in science experiments involving volcanoes and orbots, visited the zoo, listened to a freshman student athlete and toured the athletic facilities, observed the largest planetarium in the state, learned strategies to overcome our fears, and enjoyed some amazing food in the Holmes Dining Room.
This was an amazing and unforgettable trip!

Just a reminder that statewide testing begins this Tuesday, May 12th at Yasuhara. Phoenix, turn your cell phone off and get plenty of sleep. Make sure to eat a good breakfast. Parents and guardians, thank you for your support! You got this!
