It was a big day for the first graders at Linwood. Their caterpillars finally turned into butterflies and were ready for a release party!! They were so excited they couldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the day!

The Linwood Aeronautics Club went on an adventure to Felts Field to explore the world of aviation. They learned about basic aerodynamics, airfield traffic pattern operations, and aircraft component fundamentals. The students got hands-on experience in the pilot’s seat of an airplane and soared through the skies in flight simulators! Could we be teaching future pilots at Linwood??!!
Field Day is fast approaching! It will be here before we know it. Mrs. Z is looking for volunteers to help run stations. The theme this year is " Dream Big & Give It All You've Got!"
When: Thursday, June 11
Time: 9:00-11:00 3rd - 5th grades
12:00-2:15 K-2nd grades
Who: Volunteers Needed
Must complete District Volunteer Form Online and be cleared
Fill out Field Day Form that went home with students

This past week, 90+ Soccer held a two day clinic with Linwood K-5 students. Kids learned basic skills and ball handling through games and practice. All kids had a great time. Thanks 90+ for a great clinic.

First graders got a chance to release live butterflies after learning about the butterflies life cycle in science. Such awe and joy on their faces!!

Friday we celebrated students who have shown the "W" in the Linwood PAWS-Works Hard. There were also awards for our Jr Bloomsday Club, Safety Patrollers, Aluminum Can Drive top collectors, and kids who worked extra hard in the bike unit- riding a bike for the first time! So much joy and learning going on at Linwood!!
