Originally known as Decoration Day, Memorial Day began after the Civil War to honor those who gave their lives in service to our country. Today, we continue that tradition by remembering the fallen, honoring their sacrifice and reflecting on the cost of freedom. As we commemorate Memorial Day on May 25, Gonzaga gives thanks to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Please note there will be no summer classes or University work on Monday.

Last week, our admission specialist attended the Inland Northwest Nurse Educator Conference hosted right here on campus. The event brought together clinical and academic nursing educators, as well as Nursing Professional Development (NPD) specialists from all levels of the field.
One of our favorite highlights was the opportunity for attendees to write thank-you notes to the nurses who shaped their own professional journeys.
