It's always great to run into our Pirate family. Mr. Wayne Wright graduated with the class of 1947 and is a former teacher at Salk Middle School. At 96 years of age, he is still going strong. Mr. Wright's daughter, Wendy Davis, is a teacher at Regal Elementary ❤️

What a week of celebrating Seniors! The Senior Signing Con was a recognition of students choosing post-secondary options - Military, Apprenticeship, Trade School, 2 year college or year universities. We were pleased to welcome Mayor Lisa Brown as our keynote speaker and acknowledge these students as they take the next steps forward.

This was followed by the Evening of Excellence where over 120 seniors were awarded honor cords for their academic successes and multiple scholarships were awarded. Students earned scholarships ranging from $500 to $22,500 each. We are proud of these students who have worked hard throughout their high school career.

The John R Rogers JROTC Group represented well at the Armed Forces Torchlight Parade last Saturday. Cadets demonstrated the Pirate spirit and represented well. Great job, Cadets!
