🌎💚 Happy Earth Day 💚🌎

Today our children celebrated the beauty of our wonderful world through hands-on exploration and meaningful conversations.

Our toddlers had so much fun getting messy and curious with mud play, exploring the earth through touch, texture, and sensory discovery.
In our Children’s House, the children engaged their senses by searching for hidden materials in the dirt, working with shadow cards, and talking together about our planet and the ways we can help keep it clean and beautiful.

We have a few openings left in our Toddler Community (ages 1–2.5) at Spokane Valley Montessori! 🌱

If you’ve been considering a Montessori start for your little one, now is a wonderful time to join our nurturing, child-centered environment designed to support independence, exploration, and early development.

We are also excited to share that we are preparing to open our Montessori Introduction Classroom (ages 2.5–5)! This smaller classroom setting is thoughtfully designed to support:
✨ Social & emotional development
✨ Potty training
✨ Gentle introduction to Montessori routines and materials
Waitlist now open for this classroom!

Our Children’s House Classroom is also available to tour and add to our waitlist (ages 3–6), which focuses on:
📚 Kindergarten readiness
🌿 Independence and confidence
🧠 Hands-on Montessori learning (potty trained students)

In our Montessori environment, children explore the world through hands-on experiences that make learning meaningful and engaging. From discovering continents and expanding their understanding of the world, to strengthening early math skills with bead work, to developing critical thinking through matching and classification activities—each lesson is designed to support the whole child.

These moments may look like simple play, but they are laying the foundation for focus, problem-solving, and school readiness every single day ✨

Our teachers had the opportunity to practice their flower arranging skills at the Bluebird's Cottage, while also providing the opportunity to discuss Montessori lesson presentations.
