To My East Valley Community,
Five years ago, I chose you—and you chose me. I had one more good run in me, and you made it count. Together, we’ve accomplished so much and faced plenty of challenges. Through it all, I’m deeply grateful for this community. I’ll always bleed green, black, and white—now as a proud community member.
As my official work comes to an end, I have one last favor to ask of you. Regardless of how you vote, please do so. I am not asking for your support — I am asking you to vote.
There’s enough information out there to make an informed decision. The real question is whether people will take the time. Last election, only 34% of voters turned in a ballot.
If you live, work, or have family and friends within the East Valley School District, please take a moment to remind them to vote as well. Talk to your spouse, your adult children, your parents, your neighbors, and the friends you grew up with. A quick text, a conversation over the fence, or a reminder at the dinner table can be the nudge someone needs to fill out and return their ballot. Our district's future will be shaped by the voices that actually show up — and many of those voices are sitting at kitchen tables and on front porches right now, waiting for someone to remind them their vote matters. Your vote is your voice; please use it... it matters.
Thank you for the honor of serving as your superintendent. Go Knights!
