9-1-1 Public Educators

Directions

9-1-1 Public Educators The 9-1-1 Public Educators page was created and is maintained by a group of 9-1-1 employees from all over Washington State.

The mission of the 9-1-1 Public Educators, is to provide high-quality, relevant, and varied educational programs and opportunities for the purpose of ensuring efficient public use of the current and future capabilities of the 9-1-1 system. We work with the public within our own communities...at schools, community centers, local organizations, fairs, etc... to educate the public on the proper use of 9-1-1 and keep them advised of the latest upgrades and changes to our 9-1-1 system. It is our goal to encourage the people in our state, and ultimately across the country, to Know Their Location when calling 911.

We got another great pic from 9-1-1 Public Educator Esther Duncan with SECOMM in Benton/Franklin County, Washington who had this to say about getting back out in the community last weekend.

“9/11 Today is significant to me for so many reasons. 🖤💛💜

I remember the fallen from the tragic event in 2001. 🖤

On 9/11/2006 I began my 9-1-1 Dispatcher career. 💛

And Today, I have the privilege to educate my community at the Connell Fall Festival where I graduated from High School.💜
