Sprucing Up VCS!

A huge thank you to the volunteers who came out to help get our campus ready to welcome students back! From painting curbs and our track & field shed, to preparing the baseball field for this year’s launch of VCS Baseball, to pulling out and cleaning the upper bleachers in the gym—it was a productive day!

A special thank you to Save Your Glass for generously donating their services to clean our windows and exterior walls, and to the Thomas family for bringing their company out to serve VCS!

We’re grateful for the many hands God provides to care for the campus He has entrusted to us. Thank you to everyone who served!

Please join us in thanking Julie Hicks for 32 years of faithful service and for the lasting impact she has had on generations of VCS students and families!

At this year’s Graduation Ceremony, we celebrated the Class of 2026 and the impact they have made on our school community. As VCS’s 50th graduating class, they hold a special place in our school’s history, representing five decades of God’s faithfulness through Christian education. Surrounded by family, friends, faculty, and fellow students, each graduate was honored as they completed this important chapter and prepared to pursue God’s calling on their lives. The ceremony served as a meaningful reminder of God’s faithfulness throughout their journey at VCS and His continued guidance in the years ahead.

The seniors also passed the baton of leadership to the incoming senior class and prayed over them, asking God to guide, strengthen, and equip them as they step into their new role of leadership within the VCS community. It was a special time of reflection, gratitude, and celebration as one class graduated and another stepped forward to lead.

Our elementary students had an exciting day launching rockets and exploring the fun of hands-on learning! It was wonderful to see their creativity, curiosity, and excitement on full display as they put their projects into action.

We were also grateful to welcome recently retired VCS teacher Mr. White back to campus to help with the launches and encourage students throughout the day. Thank you, Mr. White, for continuing to invest in our students and share your love of learning with the next generation.

We thank God for opportunities that inspire students to grow, explore, and use the gifts He has given them.

Our VCS Junior Band did an outstanding job performing at the Spokane Jr. Lilac Parade! We’re thankful for the way these students used their God-given talents with excellence, joy, and dedication as they represented Valley Christian School in our community.

We were honored to welcome Congressman Michael Baumgartner to Valley Christian School yesterday. It was a blessing to share about VCS, give him a tour of our campus, and most importantly, pray for him and his leadership.

During his visit, Congressman Baumgartner also spent time encouraging our graduating seniors and speaking with our Civics class, answering student questions and engaging in meaningful conversation.
