Heatherthymeart - Children's Art Classes

Baby Boy #2 coming February 2027! 💙

As many of you know, I began my art business as a way to find purpose while we were going through infertility and my husband was busy with medical school. It has been such a wonderful experience to work with so many kids and especially those of your kids who have been coming for years!

Now that we are expecting our second son, I will be retiring from teaching to focus on my kids full time. I will really miss seeing your kids but feel like this is the right decision for us right now. I will have one workshop per month at both the Spokane Valley and Otis Orchards Library each month September through December, and I plan to be done teaching before Christmas. (I no longer offer private lessons and can’t have any more classes at my house since we had to make the art room into Liam’s room). It is possible that I could be convinced to teach a party every once in while still, but I make no promises ;)

I hope to have a “retirement” party to give away my leftover art supplies to my students and see people one more time in January - so stay tuned for more on that in December.

Thank you all so much for your support over these past 4 years - I never could have imagined how many fantastic people I would get to meet when I started this business! I hope to see a lot of your kids at classes in the next few months!

Slime was a huge hit with the kids last summer so I decided to create an entire camp around sensory play! There are two chances to attend Sensory Play Camp this Summer! June 22-25 or July 20-23.
