About Kiamichi Tech

Kiamichi Tech has played a significant role in the growth of southeast Oklahoma communities since 1968, serving nine full and four partial counties. With a mission to 'Prepare People for Success," Kiamichi Tech meets local workforce needs through full-time career training programs, short-term courses and customized training for businesses. The Kiamichi Tech page was created as a place for updates about our programs and services and stories about our students and communities to be shared. 🩺 Our Long-Term Care Nurse Aide students are Made for More! 💚💙

At Kiamichi Tech–Poteau, our Long-Term Care Nurse Aide students are building the skills they need to succeed in the classroom and the workplace.

Through hands-on activities, students practiced teamwork, conflict resolution, planning & organizing, and dependability...all while having fun and thinking outside the box!

These activities remind us that some of the most important lessons happen when we step outside the traditional classroom and put skills into action.

Our students are developing the knowledge, skills, and confidence to care for others and are preparing for more opportunities, more growth, and more success.

Today, students celebrated Constitution Day by participating in a Preamble Scramble during break. Students worked together to arrange the words of the Preamble to the United States Constitution in the correct order while learning about the importance of our nation's founding document.
The activity encouraged teamwork, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the principles that guide our democracy.

CareerTech is preparing the workforce of today and tomorrow.

Across Oklahoma, 44% of students in grades 9-12 take at least one CareerTech class. Even closer to home, one in four juniors and seniors in our area attend Kiamichi Tech.

Every career starts somewhere, and we're proud to be part of that journey.
