So we didn't win. But it was an honor and privilege to run and have your support. Thanks loads. I mean that. There's another school board election in a year. Let's keep supporting and boosting solid conservatives into these positions. It's ongoing.

Something obvious that maybe most people don’t think about is that Conservative means conserving our ways and traditions. Keeping our values. Our founding fathers kicked off this country with a pretty high bar. So when people say we need both sides equally represented, it’s not as if compromise in the middle is a fair place to land. No. Every time, we as a society get pulled farther and farther left. You know this. More and more and more allowances for the wrong things to thrive. And if you call that out, you’re made to feel like you’re somehow wrong, ignorant, or even racist (that’s the funniest one). It’s time for weak conservatives to step aside, or better yet, get some courage. I hope with your support, that I can do a great job as a school board representative.

Parents need to be at school board meetings. I know. No one wants to go to those. I've been going to the majority of them for the last two years. Sometimes there are 1 or 2 other parents. Sometimes not at all. Right now only 4 of the 9 have kids attending the school. If you want parent representation, please come to meetings. And even better yet, say something during the community input segment. You can have 3 minutes to talk. I'd like to see more of that going on. Right now, what they hear most about is the monthly report and various items from the administrator. They’re only getting one perspective if parents don't show up.

Price County Review reached out to me for some Q&A. Hopefully they'll be up online today or tomorrow. Here are the answers I submitted.

Who are you? In 150 words or less, let the readers know what you'd like to share about your background, such as education, work and family.

I’m a dad to 2 boys who attend the Prentice School. I was born and raised in the town of Spirit. My wife and I moved back to Spirit 10 years ago with the desire to raise our kids in the country, with traditional Christian American values. We’re first and foremost Christians trying to live with purpose and meaning. I make a living as a painting contractor.

Question 2

Why are you running? In 150 words or less let the readers know why you are running for school board.

I think it’s important for parents who have kids in the school to be on the board. We have a vested interest. That makes me passionate about my own kids having the best education. The teachers and staff mostly do an excellent job overall. I really look forward to supporting them so they can do their jobs the best way possible.

One reason I’m running is because of things in school that have no place in school. Philosophies that our kids are being brainwashed into accepting. CRT and LGB/Trans movements have really become disturbing trends. Teachers asking kids what pronouns they want? This is happening in Prentice to some degree. I would stand against these types of insanity. Let's have just pure classical education.

A former English teacher showed a movie with p**n to my son’s class in 2021. When this happened, the school had no recourse. This was unacceptable.

What are your priorities for serving on the school board? In 150 words or less let the readers know if you have particular goals or issues you wish to address. Or, in the alternative, what do you feel the priorities of the school board should be this term.

My goal is for the school board to be more proactive, instead of reactive.

As mentioned earlier, things like Critical Race Theory, LGB/Trans, and other deviant philosophies eventually make their way into all schools. Currently, there is not a majority on the board willing to outright ban the promotion of these ideas.

Matters of policy and other decisions should be thoughtfully weighed out by staying current, and being open to changing methods out if there’s a better way to be a more effective board.

Lastly, parents’ rights and concerns over their kids are of the utmost importance. That plays out in a million different ways, but the school is not the dad and the mom. Family comes first.
