Meet Jenna and Jessica.

With over twenty years of combined teaching experience in the Iowa Great Lakes traveling to different cities, schools, and teaching studios; Jessica and Jenna began dreaming about a dedicated location in the lakes area where music classes, special music sessions and private lessons could be housed. JJ School of Music was born from this dream.

Jessica graduated from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education, with an emphasis in voice and piano.

Jenna graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, with a Bachelors of Music in Jazz Composition. She then went on to become the first woman to obtain a Masters in Music in Jazz Pedagogy from the University of Northern Iowa.

Together, they have formed a teaching cooperative (with other area educators passionate about teaching as a profession) to create an environment where kids and adults could study music in an age-appropriate setting and benefit from the cooperation, ideas and experience of all the instructors in one location in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
