The parents of June Everly Pearson and the staff of Spindale Elementary School invite you to honor June's memory by donating blood and helping patients in need. During her brave battle with brain cancer, June received lifesaving blood transfusions, and her family now hopes to give back by helping others facing medical challenges.
Please join us for the June Everly Pearson Memorial Blood Drive on September 9, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Spindale Elementary School cafeteria.

As a special thank you, all who come to give blood September 1-20 will receive a Red Cross x Hello Kitty collectible item, while supplies last. Students who recruit an adult to donate will receive a special gift from the Red Cross - a travel roll up checkers game!

This summer, our school communities experienced the heartbreaking loss of June, a beloved Spindale Elementary student who had just completed kindergarten. After being unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer near the end of the school year, June passed away over the summer.

June’s mother is a member of the CHASE Middle School cafeteria staff and a valued part of our school family. Today, on June’s birthday, Spindale Elementary and CHASE Middle School are joining together for a fundraiser to honor June’s life and memory.

At her family’s request, 100% of the proceeds will be donated in June’s name to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (https://curethekids.org/), helping support children and families affected by pediatric brain tumors.
We invite our communities to join us in remembering June, celebrating her life, and supporting this important cause in her name.

As a reminder, Tuesday, August 11th, is the first day of school! Students can be dropped off at 7:05 am. School begins at 7:30 a.m. We are excited to welcome our students back and begin a fantastic school year together! Let's make this a great first week, Hive Family! We'll see you Tuesday!

Thank you to our wonderful neighbors at Spencer Baptist Church for treating our staff to a delicious lunch today as we prepare for an exciting new school year. Your kindness, encouragement, and support mean so much to our staff and school community.
