The annual organizational meeting of the Board of Education included the oaths of office for the recently-elected candidates, Sean McCabe, Mark McLean and David Gibbardo.

Unanimously, Leah Brown and Megan Sarkis have been reelected as president and vice president, respectively.

Congratulations to our 2026-27 Board of Education, and thank you for your volunteer service to our community.

Spencerport’s first Sports Field Training Day on July 13 brought together more than 125 attendees from across New York State for a day of learning, innovation, and hands-on equipment demonstrations.

Representatives from SUNY campuses, the Rochester Red Wings, Buffalo Bisons, and school districts as far away as Watertown participated in expert-led sessions on field maintenance, emerging technologies, and turf management—including a session led by experts from Cornell University.

A special thank you to our presenters and attendees, as well as SCSD Facilities Director Jeff Mochan and his team for their hard work in organizing this successful event and showcasing best practices in sports field management.

Our graduating seniors walked the hallways where it all began—revisiting Cosgrove and their elementary schools, reconnecting with teachers and staff, and inspiring the next generation of graduates. 9 days until commencement!

Each librarian in Spencerport created a timeline of American flags in their buildings to mark Flag Day and the 250th anniversary. At the high school, librarian Daniel Hawken was able to take the display a step further thanks to our local American Legion.
