The Campout Challenge is ON!

Our MCES Student Council came up with a great idea to ONE-UP Mr. Cazzell’s campout! They challenged our MCES staff members to join him and we’ve already had several members brave enough to sign up!

Now it’s up to the students to decide who actually makes it to the campout!

Voting jars will be out starting tomorrow morning and will stay out through Wednesday, October 7th. Students can bring in coins or bills and put them in the jar of the staff member they want to see camp out!

Any participating staff member who reaches $100 or more will earn a spot at the campout with Mr. Cazzell on Thursday night, October 8th!

Even better, every dollar raised will be donated to the Humane Shelter and New Beginnings Pregnancy Center.

So… who’s going camping?! 👀 Let’s see which staff members can hit $100!

That’s a wrap on Raise Craze!

What an amazing couple of weeks! Our MCES students spread so much kindness throughout our school and community, and thanks to our amazing families, we reached our fundraising goal! ❤️

Yesterday, prizes went home with students and we celebrated all they accomplished. Congratulations to Mrs. Strunk’s and Mr. Clark’s classes, who earned a hot chocolate and donut party! And our teachers put on a lip sync battle that was nothing short of EPIC!

One of our favorite moments came from our Nintendo Switch winner. In one final Act of Kindness during Raise Craze, she chose to give her Switch to another student who was very close to winning and didn’t already have one. It was such a sweet moment and truly captured what Raise Craze was all about.

A HUGE thank you to our families, teachers, staff, volunteers, and all of our generous sponsors who donated prizes and helped make this so much fun for our students!

And of course… Mr. Cazzell officially earned his night of camping at the school! 😂

Way to go, MCES! Kindness really is our superpower!

🎉 WE DID IT! We reached our Raise Craze goal! 🎉

Today we’ll be celebrating with our students at our Raise Craze convocation and recognizing all of the amazing things they’ve accomplished!

We are so proud of the kindness our students have spread throughout our school and community. And a HUGE thank you to all of our families, friends, and supporters who donated and helped make this fundraiser such a success. We are truly blown away by your generosity!

The donation link will remain open for any last-minute donations. We’ll also continue collecting items for the Owen County Humane Society and New Beginnings Pregnancy Resource Center today and into next week for anything that is still trickling in.

Thank you again for supporting our students and our school. We can’t wait to put these funds to work and see all of the amazing things we’re able to do at MCES this year!

And now… it looks like Mr. Cazzell better get his camping gear ready! ⛺😂

Today is the LAST DAY of Raise Craze, and we are SO CLOSE!

We are less than $500 away from our $10,000 goal, which means we’re less than $500 away from sending Mr. Cazzell CAMPING at the school! ⛺

Today is also the last day to register your Acts of Kindness and earn credit toward our Raise Craze prizes, so make sure you log into your account and update any Acts of Kindness your student has completed! All completed AOKs and the amount of money raised count toward the prize levels.

We are right there, MCES! Let’s finish strong, get those final AOKs logged, and see if we can get Mr. Cazzell ready for his campout! ⛺

The Raise Craze traveling trophies are on the move again! Today, the Most Funds Raised trophy goes to Mrs. Livingston’s class, and the Most Acts of Kindness trophy goes to Mrs. Wood’s class with 25 AOKs logged yesterday!

For these final few days, we’re looking at each day individually, so the trophies will move to the classes that raised the most funds and logged the most Acts of Kindness the day before. That means every class gets a fresh chance to take a trophy each day!

Let’s see where they head tomorrow!

Our MCES kids have been working so hard on their Acts of Kindness this past week for Raise Craze!

One way they’ve been giving back is by collecting donations for the Owen County Humane Society and New Beginnings Pregnancy Resource Center. We’ve already collected so many great items, and it’s been awesome seeing our students support organizations right here in our community!

It’s not too late to help! We’ll keep collecting donations through the end of the week, so feel free to send items in with your student.

Keep up the great work, MCES!

We’re in the final stretch of Raise Craze and we’re SO close to making Mr. Cazzell camp out at the school!

We’re currently at 70% of our goal, and the kids have done such an awesome job with their Acts of Kindness!

We still only have about 20% of our students registered, so there’s plenty of time for more kids to jump in and help us get there. It’s completely free to register and there’s no minimum amount you have to raise.

Let’s finish strong and get Mr. Cazzell in that tent! 😂

Raise Craze update!

Mrs. Strunk’s class has taken over the Acts of Kindness trophy with 46 AOKs! Mr. Clark’s class is still holding onto the Most Money Raised trophy, with an amazing $1,540 raised by their class alone!

So far, MCES has raised $6,130 and completed 272 Acts of Kindness! We still have a ways to go to reach our goal, but we know we can get there!

Haven’t registered yet? Please consider joining and helping us. Every little bit really helps.
