Mrs. Parks’ kindergarteners were busy exploring living and nonliving things as they worked together in small groups! Through hands-on investigation and collaboration, students practiced observing, sorting, and discussing the world around them. Mr. Wickham’s third graders got their hands dirty as they explored different types of soil and investigated which soil might be best for plant growth! 🌱 Through hands-on exploration, students connected science concepts to the world around them as they discovered how soil plays an important role in helping plants thrive.

Our NRES custodians help keep our school clean, safe, and ready for learning each and every day! We are so grateful for the hard work, care, and pride they bring to our school and for everything they do to keep our Steamers running on track. It's Apple Week in kindergarten! Today, Miss Monroe's class tasted Gala, Golden Delicious, and Granny Smith apples, examined the seeds in the cores, and voted on their favorites. While the Granny Smith proved a bit too sour for some, Gala took top honors as the overall favorite.

Help us feed the monster!

We need your help to make our upcoming North Community Fall Festival a success! We are asking our wonderful families to donate bags of individually wrapped candy to support our Trunk-or-Teach games and activities.

To make it fun for the kids, we have a monster set up in the main hallway that is hungry for candy! Send your candy donations with your child or drop them off in the main hallway to help us feed the monster before the big event.

Candy Drop-Off Details:
Where: Main Hallway at NRES
When: Drop off anytime during school hours before October 14

Thank you for supporting our school community and making this a sweet event for everyone!
