I had the opportunity to meet two wonderful gals today who are foreign exchange students here in Central Texas! I shared with Carla (from Spain) & Leah (from Germany), both attending Blanco High School, how we do local news here in Texas.

While I was showing them how we present the 7Day, I asked if the weather back home was anything like this. They told me no, it was much colder. But they also reminded me that they use Celsius where they’re from… so the high temperature of 87° on my map looked wildly HOT to them. (87°C = 188.6°F)

We giggled. 🥰

Hi All! Camp 1/ WD2 departures are officially HAPPENING! Please note that we had severe weather roll through NYC last night, which has caused MANY cancellations and delays. We are working hard to get your kids to you TODAY whenever possible, but please note that the flight changes are happening rapidly and we will have some students arrive Sunday. Meet Lauren Jones, Head Administrator at Black Hills Christian Academy!

Founded 32 years ago as Belle Fourche Christian School, Black Hills Christian Academy (BHCA) has been serving the Northern Hills community with quality education. After relocating to Spearfish in 2011 and merging with Spearfish Classical Christian School, BHCA now offers preschool through 12th-grade education.

Lauren transitioned from a fulfilling teaching career in the Spearfish School District to lead Black Hills Christian Academy, drawn by her passion for education and desire to make a lasting impact on students beyond the classroom.
