Meeting Street Academy- Spartanburg

Although Assistant Principal Week was last week spring break gave us a little delay, but we still want to take a moment to celebrate our amazing APs, Molly and Anawya!

Molly, our lower grade level Assistant Principal, and Anawya, our upper grade Assistant Principal, do so much each day to support our scholars, teachers, and school community.

Thank you both for your care, leadership, and the love you pour into Meeting Street Academy - Spartanburg.

With heavy hearts, we remember our beloved scholar, Jaylin.

Jaylin was a bright light in our school community, kind, joyful, and full of warmth. She touched the lives of so many with her sweet spirit, friendly heart, and beautiful smile. She will always be remembered for the love and light she brought to those around her.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jaylin's family, friends, classmates, and everyone who loved her during this incredibly difficult time. As a school family, we will continue to hold her memory close in our hearts.

Black History Month may have officially ended, but the celebration continues at MSA!

This past week was full of powerful moments, from our Maverick Choir and teachers lifting their voices, to our Pre- K scholars shining in the Black History Fashion Show, and our 5th graders bringing history to life in their Living Museum.

We are so proud of our scholars, staff and families. Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make these moments so special!

Students who met their Accelerated Reading goals were treated to a star-studded Academy Award themed Crush Party, complete with celebration, and well-deserved recognition.

Better late than never! Monday was all bout cozy vibes in PJs, and today we're shining bright with positive words. Our students continue to make our school a place where kindness and positivity lead the way!

As we close out School Counselor Week, we proudly recognize our Student Support Manager, Mrs. Janata Glover. There is never a day she walks through our doors without a positive attitude and a heart ready to serve. She consistently shows up and shows out for our students, creating an environment where they feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to succeed.

Today we celebrate our amazing Behavior Interventionist Ms. Rachel Butler, who truly goes above and beyond for our students. She leads with compassion, always putting students first and prioritzing their well-being.
