One-on-one tutoring to help you with the writing process, recognizing your strengths and needs, and identifying & correcting grammatical errors.

Located on the second floor of the library in suite 204, the Writing Center provides assistance to all students seeking to build their writing skills. The Writing Center is dedicated to providing academic support to the needs of student writers across the curriculum. In addition, any students who wish to enhance their skills, independent of specific course work, or have a friendly reader for their newest poem, essay or story, can find assistance in the center.

Hi Converse College!

It has been quite a tumultuous few weeks, but do not forget that your Writing Center is here to serve you virtually on Sunday and Monday through Friday 9 AM to 10 AM. We offer three types of service to best assist you become a better writer:

Online Conferences: Our knowledgeable and friendly Peer Consultants will meet with students via Zoom to work with you improve your paper (audio and video options are available).

Asynchronous Paper Reviews: While the Writing Center encourages online conferences, we will read and review your papers if you fill out this form beforehand while signed in to your Converse email: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1AGTcVu_8AP2zsA8aDbm7aghNu1FWkBxVMjvxDEnOKQU Please allow up to 48 hours to review your paper.

Questions Answered Via Chat: Just go to your Converse email, find "Google Chat" in the app section, type in [email protected], and ask your question. A Peer Consultant will answer your question as quickly as possible.
