Summer Meal program!

This summer, District Six will provide free meals for children 18 years of age and under. We are committed to supporting our students and families by offering access to nutritious meals beginning May 26, 2026 through July 24, 2026. Be sure to check the flyer for meal locations, dates, and serving times.

Our 5th grade art visions students created amazing book character tiles! These are proudly displayed in the library and will be enjoyed for years to come!

Earlier this week, our Multilingual Learners had a celebration to congratulate the students who are exiting the program. These students have met the requirements to be considered fluent English speakers. A huge congratulations to these students on this tremendous accomplishment!

Mrs. Brooks's class reviewed solids & liquids as well as how some changes cannot be reversed, including mixing up their own ice cream! What a sweet way to end second grade. 3rd Grade Loading... Level Up!

Yesterday we held our 1st and 2nd grade honors day program. Congratulations to all the students who worked hard this school year! Looking forward to celebrating with our 3rd and 4th grade students today!

Congratulations Class of 2026!

Lone Oak recycled, reused, and reduced! Throughout the school year, students, parents, and staff collected bottle caps, typically otherwise thrown in the trash to end up in landfills. These caps were used to create a beautiful mural! Community partners, including BMW and Carter’s Steak & Seafood, also contributed caps to help make this project possible!

Beginning in February, students sorted the caps by color and shape before the mural was designed by Ms. Martin, Mr. Burton, and Dr. McLain. After the background was painted, each cap was individually hot glued and sealed for durability.

Now proudly displayed in our halls, this masterpiece represents Lone Oak’s creativity, collaboration, and commitment to reusing! Thank you to everyone who collected and contributed! 🌎💙💚
