Four Spartanburg Day School students spent the week gaining firsthand experience in government and leadership through this year’s Boys State and Girls State programs.
Sponsored by local American Legion posts, Boys State and Girls State are immersive, week-long programs that give rising seniors the opportunity to participate in a hands-on simulation of local and state government operations.
Representing SDS were Mitchell Gray, who attended at Anderson University, and Jane Manello, Beau Peeler, and Campbell Dobson, who attended at Presbyterian College.
We are proud of these Griffins for representing themselves, their school, and their community so well throughout the week.
