During VCOM's June 2 awards ceremony, we recognized the physicians and clinical educators whose mentorship, expertise, and dedication help shape the next generation of osteopathic physicians. Your impact extends far beyond the clinic and into the future of healthcare.

Future physicians connected with future opportunities at VCOM's Residency Fair on June 3.

Held in the Milliken Room at Fifth Third Park in Spartanburg, the event brought together residency program directors and representatives from programs across South Carolina, giving students valuable opportunities to learn about training pathways, ask questions, and build professional connections.

Thank you to all of the residency programs that participated and helped make this year's event such a success. The outstanding turnout reflects our students' commitment to preparing for the next step in their medical careers.

Our Student Affairs team helped students kick off the season with a splash at our Aloha Summer celebration! From burgers and hot dogs to a giant waterslide and plenty of sunshine, students had the opportunity to relax, connect with classmates, and celebrate the start of summer.

🏆 Congratulations to our Class of 2027 award recipients!

Students returned to campus on June 2 from their third-year clinical rotations to be recognized as Distinguished Scholars and Students of the Year at their rotation sites. We are proud to celebrate their dedication, academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to patient care.

VCOM-Carolinas students volunteered at Meeting Street Academy’s Field Day on May 19, helping cheer on students and support a morning of fun, activity, and community connection. The event took place on the beautiful VCOM campus in Spartanburg.

Events like these highlight VCOM’s commitment to serving and encouraging neighboring institutions throughout Spartanburg. Another Field Day event for younger students will take place tomorrow, May 27.

🎖️ On Thursday, May 14, we were honored to celebrate the military promotion ceremony for the uniformed service members of the VCOM-Carolinas Class of 2026.

Promoted within the United States Air Force, Army, and Navy, these incredible young people will begin their careers as both physicians and officers.

We are proud to recognize their commitment to service, leadership, and healing, in a calling that unites medicine and military duty. Congratulations to each of you!

On Friday, May 15, we proudly celebrated the VCOM-Carolinas Class of 2026 at Commencement!

After years of dedication, service, and rigorous training, these new physicians walked the stage and officially became Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine.

We are incredibly proud of all you’ve accomplished—your journey is just beginning. Congratulations, Class of 2026!

On May 12, VCOM-Carolinas students took part in the annual Emergency Medicine/Surgery Boot Camp, participating in hands-on training focused on emergency response, procedural skills, and collaborative patient care.

Experiences like these help prepare future physicians for the realities of clinical practice.
