Remembering Beatrice “Bee” Smith Maybank ’66, a cherished Converse alumna, former Board of Trustees member and devoted member of the Converse community.
Through her leadership, service and generosity, Bee left a lasting legacy at Converse, including the establishment of the Beatrice Smith and Thomas H. Maybank Endowed Scholarship.
We extend our deepest condolences to Bee’s family, friends and all who knew and loved her. Her legacy will continue to inspire generations of Valkyries. 🕊️

Professor Andrew Blanchard is making his mark in the art world! 🎨

Converse University Professor of Studio Art Andrew Blanchard is showcasing his work in Hi/Lo, an exhibition at the West & East Gallery through September 5.

Featuring more than a dozen works, including two of Blanchard’s large-scale sculptures, the exhibition explores personal reflection, visual storytelling, boundaries, and nostalgia.
