Valkyrie Supply represented Converse University at College Food Security Advocacy Day in Columbia, SC. Shaunna Thomas & A.J. Robinson were amongst many college students urging members of the South Carolina General Assembly to support the academic success of college students by tackling food insecurity through:
🍲Providing consistent funding for campus assistance programs.
🍛 Incentivizing businesses to donate unused, safe food to campus pantries.
🥫 Improving student access to SNAP benefits.
📊 Ensuring annual college food insecurity data is consistently collected and evaluated.
