It’s RISE week, but we are still thinking about the Sullivan Spring Ignite retreat! Over spring break, several Converse students had the chance to attend the Ignite retreat in Lake Junaluska, NC.

Students explored how to strengthen their own leadership and change making abilities through hands-on workshops, networking sessions, and 1:1 mentorship opportunities!

We are so grateful to the for this opportunity and can’t wait for the next Ignite retreat!

Last Thursday at Faculty Symposia, Dr. Joe Barrera presented on the presence of math in the games, Hex and HackenBush. The two games were founded by mathematicians. Attendees even got to play these games!

Thank you, Dr. Barrera for a wonderful and interactive presentation!
