The same team that has brought you the Blue Light Ride the last 8 years, is pairing together again for the 2nd Annual Marty McFly’s Feed Sparta’s People Golf Classic.

Funds raised through this event will directly support local efforts to provide food to families. A portion of the proceeds will benefit our Gather event, which provided meals to more than 500 White County residents last year.

✨In partnership with The Tribe Ministry, we are happy to host this event in memory of Calvin Jones!✨

Calvin Jones started what we now know as Special Warriors, which serves over 20+ powerlifters. Whether you knew Calvin from his many metals, or he greeted you with a flex, Calvin impacted a lot of people.

You’ve heard the announcement, now let’s get to know our newest CEO!

David has a Bachelor’s in Finance and a Bachelor’s in Business Information Technology from Tennessee Tech University.
During his time at the Y, he has served in various rolls such as Welcome Center Attendant, Aquatics Coordinator, Business Administrator and most recently Interim CEO.

Whether you’ve seen David at the Welcome Center, interacting with members or out doing random projects for the Y, his love for this community and his commitment to the YMCA is evident. He understands the people we serve because he is one of them. He is passionate about making sure the YMCA is a place where we will continue to glorify God.

“I have developed a deep love for the Y, its mission and the people we serve. I am very humbled and grateful for this opportunity to lead as your CEO. I am looking forward to continue the great work we have ahead!” -David Smith
