Great News!! The Academy Polo Classic is a GO!!

After closely monitoring the weather and field conditions, we are pleased to confirm that tomorrow’s Polo Classic will take place as scheduled, with the festivities beginning promptly at the announced times.

We know the weather has kept everyone guessing, and we greatly appreciate your patience and flexibility. As always, the safety and well-being of our guests, students, families, staff, and players remain our top priority. We will continue to closely monitor conditions throughout the day and will communicate any significant changes should they arise.

For now, dust off your hats, gather your friends and family, and get ready for a wonderful day of polo, community, and Academy spirit!

IMPORTANT INFO! PLEASE READ! We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Polo Classic on Saturday, August 22nd, as we kick off the 2026–27 school year!

Mother Nature has certainly been keeping us guessing, with weather forecasts changing by the hour over the past several days. Please know that the safety of everyone involved is our top priority, and we want to ensure that the Polo Classic is an enjoyable, and memorable experience for all.

Should inclement weather result in a delayed start or cancellation of the Polo match on Saturday, August 22nd (with Sunday, August 23rd serving as the rain date), the Academy will notify the Academy community via email and social media no later than 12:00 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, August 21st.

🤼 Welcome to the Pride, Coach Ryan Bridge! 🦁💙💛

Pope John XXIII Regional High School is proud to announce Ryan Bridge as our new Head Varsity Wrestling Coach.

Coach Bridge brings an exceptional combination of championship experience, elite competition, and proven coaching success to our wrestling program. Over the past decade, he has coached at some of New Jersey's premier wrestling programs, including Delbarton, Kittatinny Regional, and Morris Hills, helping develop state champions, Division I All-Americans, and championship teams. Most recently, he helped lead Kittatinny to the NJSIAA North 1 Group Championship.

As a competitor, Coach Bridge is among New Jersey's most accomplished wrestlers—a two-time New Jersey State Champion, Beast of the East Champion, former No. 1-ranked wrestler in the nation, South Jersey Wrestling Hall of Fame inductee, United States Marine Corps All-Marine wrestler, Armed Forces Champion, and two-time NCAA Division III All-American.

"We are incredibly excited to welcome Ryan Bridge to the Pope John family," said Athletic Director Brian McAleer. "Ryan brings an exceptional track record of leadership, technical expertise, and a deep commitment to student-athlete development. His vision aligns perfectly with our commitment to excellence, discipline, and integrity, and we are confident he will build upon our proud wrestling tradition."

We're honored that WMBC-TV highlighted the inaugural Inspirit AI Summer Intensive at Pope John XXIII Regional High School. Through our partnership with Inspirit AI, students explored emerging technologies, tackled real-world challenges, and discovered what's possible when curiosity meets innovation.

Thank you to our Inspirit AI partners, instructors, and the outstanding Pope John students who made this inaugural program a success. We look forward to continuing to bring transformative learning opportunities like this to northwest New Jersey.
