The Alleghany XC team delivered an outstanding performance at the 2A Mountain Valley Athletic Pre-Conference Meet at Lowe's Park at Rivers Edge in Wilkesboro. Our six-man team consisted of Landon Davis, Diego Luna, Brice McClure, Gadge Minor, David Posey, and Brayden Trivitte.
The runners faced above-average temperatures and brutal heat, making an already demanding cross-country course even more challenging. Despite the harsh conditions, all six athletes dug deep, pushed through the heat, and continued to compete with determination from start to finish. Every runner's effort mattered, and together they represented Alleghany with tremendous pride. We are incredibly proud of all of you.

Have you been up Trojan Avenue recently? There has been a lot going on! We are less than a year away from completing phase one of construction, and things are happening outside and inside the building to help make sure we are right on track. Thank you to JM Cope and all of the workers who are putting in the hours to make our new school an amazing place to be.

We have exciting news to share! The North Carolina School Report Card data has been shared, and Alleghany High School has maintained it's B grade, with a six point improvement in scores overall! We are very proud of the hard work and dedication our teachers and students have shown this past semester, and we can't wait to continue on our path of success this school year!
