The 2025-2026 Spartan Welding students recently participated in a field trip visiting USEMCO, Triple R, Mathy, and Western Technical College to see what opportunities are available to them after high school. We hope to go on another field trip in the future to see what other welding businesses Sparta and the surrounding areas are all about.

So proud of Tayden Robertson for winning the Kiwanis student of the month. She was nominated by Mr. Hanratty

The high school staff has selected Tayden Robertson to represent Sparta High School as the Kiwanis Student-of-the-Month for December!

Tayden was nominated by Mr. Hanratty who shared the following about Tayden:

"I recommend to you Tayden Robertson for November’s Kiwanis student of the month. I have gotten to know Tayden as she has crushed all the welding courses that we offer at SHS. This year, Tayden has decided to take my college level program titled Western Technical College Basic Welding Program, and she is on time every day, she never complains about how hard the workload is, and she has shown me what the definition of hard work truly means.

Tayden takes her work very seriously and does not quit until the job is done correctly and on time. She has had some hardship in her life, like losing a loved one during her final year of high school, but it does not stop her from being the very best individual that she can be. In academics, Tayden is carrying a 3.6 GPA and taking honors classes to get her ready for college. With all the hard work that she puts in at school, she still finds time to work after school at Sparta Family Restaurant and teaching Gymnastics where she has shown her incredible work ethic and leadership.

After high school, Tayden plans to go to college for a career in the field of sonography. This young woman is simply phenomenal in all that she does. She has shown me through the four years that I have known her that nothing can stop her when she puts her mind to it and that is why Tayden Robertson would be a great candidate for November’s Kiwanis student of the month".
