🏫𝐖𝐄'𝐋𝐋 𝐒𝐄𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐒𝐎𝐎𝐍!🏫

REGISTRATION DAY is July 31st from 8:00-9:30am at the school your child is zoned for. Like years past, guardians will be able to amend and complete the necessary information for all returning students online through Skyward early instead of filling out paperwork. The tentative date for Skyward to open is July 28th at 3pm. This is subject to change based on scheduled Skyward maintenance. Students who are returning from homeschool or moving in from another district may register at WCMS and WCHS on July 23rd. New to county elementary students will complete the process in person at the school they are zoned for on July 31st.

The FIRST FULL DAY OF SCHOOL is August 4th. We can't wait to see you!

We wrapped up an incredible Teacher Appreciation Week and are overwhelmed by the generosity of our amazing BDC community! Our teachers and staff work tirelessly for our students, and seeing them celebrated like this was the highlight of our week.

So proud!!

We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate an unprecedented achievement for our district: Six of our schools have been named Tennessee Reward Schools by the Tennessee Department of Education!

This designation is the highest honor a public school can earn in the state and reflects an extraordinary level of dedication from our students, educators, staff, and community.

The 2024-2025 Reward Schools for our district are:

BonDeCroft Elementary
Cassville Elementary
Doyle Elementary
Findlay Elementary
Northfield Elementary
White County High School

To be named a Reward School, a school must demonstrate high levels of performance and/or improvement by meeting demanding objectives across multiple indicators for all student groups. This is incredibly difficult to achieve, as the state emphasizes performance across the entire school population.

The core criteria include:
Student Achievement
Student Growth
Chronic Absenteeism
English Language Proficiency
High School Indicators (Graduation Rate and Ready Graduate Rate)

Earning this distinction means these six schools are truly operating among the best in the state, demonstrating continuous, high-quality success in teaching and learning.

We also want to recognize the excellent progress shown by White County Middle School and Woodland Park Elementary, which demonstrated significant student growth this year. Their commitment to acceleration is outstanding!
We are so proud of every student, staff member, and family for making our district a true example of excellence.
