The theme of the contest is “Celebrating Public Education: 75 Years of Impact.” Students are invited to explore the experiences, ideas, and communities that have shaped their public education experience. This contest is part of the year-long celebration of GSBA’s 75th Anniversary.

Entries may be submitted in one of three categories:
Drawing & Painting
Digital Art & Photography
Mixed Media / 3D Art

A teacher sponsor must submit each entry on the student’s behalf by October 16. If you need additional support contact Ms. Palmer at 706-444-5775. Thanks!

The Hancock County Board of Education, district leaders, and school leaders came together October 7–9, 2026, for meaningful collaboration.
A special thank you to the Georgia School Boards Association (GSBA) and consultant Ms. Zenda Bowie for providing governance training focused on effective leadership, accountability, ethics, and the responsibilities of school board members.
Throughout the collaboration, district and school leaders focused on the following:

Goal 2: Safe and Supportive Environment
Goal 3: Staff Effectiveness
Goal 4: Stakeholder Engagement
