Needed - TMDTC members Certified Therapy Dog teams to Participate in 'The Climb' event

The Climb is a free community walk and fundraiser bringing support & awareness for Perinatal Mental Health Disorders, pregnant and postpartum individuals within the Northern Nevada community. The goal is to help make local resources more accessible to parents who need them.

There will be activities for kids, food trucks and swag bags. It’s an opportunity to connect families with local providers and resources.

TMDTC will provide therapy dogs to help kids (and parents) learn about safety around dogs.

If you’d like to participate with your Therapy dog please contact Barb T. Her email is in the members directory. Come for an hour or for the full event.

Date: Saturday, June 6th

Location: Cyan Park . Veterans Pkwy at Long Meadow Dr.

Time: 9:00 - 12:00

This is the first time this event will be held in N. Nevada, let's help them make it a success!🐾🐾

Congrats to the Basic Obedience 101, Monday 4:00pm class graduates! 🎊

Last week, our last Tricks 102 class played a little golf--well….. actually “doggy golf”. Handlers rotated through stations and asked their dogs for specific behaviors.The goal of doggy golf is every time a cue is repeated, it counts as a point. The lower the score, the better. This helps handlers become more aware of how often they are repeating cues. Even simple behaviors like ‘sit’ and ‘down’ are tricks because any behavior put on cue is a just trick!

Tricks 102 will not be offered in Session 3. Instead, TMDTC will be introducing a new class called Drills and Skills in the same time slot Wed. 11:45
